MARYSIA SWIM at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim

Fiji inspired, this collection was one of my favorite at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim. The collection was beautiful, simple, and elegant with luxurious fabrics such as soft new Japanese fabric that flowed gracefully. Neutral earth shades which was inspired by a dream vacation to the islands of the South Pacific. It showcased underwire bra tops, high waist briefs, silk chemises, flirty ruffled necklines and oversize vest. The straw hats were so classic that it gave it a lady like approach that it completed the collection.

Hair Soft side bun

Makeup was a beach and fresh faced look with a beautiful glow. The makeup was neutral with a delicately smoky seaweed green eye designed to complement the collection. MAKE UP FOR EVER Mat Bronze and MAKE UP FOR EVER Compact Shine On were used to give the skin a soft glow. To give the cheeks a natural contour MAKE UP FOR EVER Sculpting Blush #20 was applied.

The eyes had a grey wash that was created by blending MAKE UP FOR EVER Flash Color #0 in teal from the lid into the crease and then sweeping Eye Shadow #33 in grey across the eye lid and crease, then dusting it around the outer corner of the eyes and just below the lower lash line. The models did not wear liner or mascara.

On the lips they applied lacquered MAKE UP FOR EVER Lipstick #221 for a natural, nude lip.

LuLi Fama at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami

Not only did I like LuLi Fama swimwear collection a lot but enjoy the production of the show. Luli used lots of gold hardware and I love the tropical colors selected like teals, gold, and orange. The collection really captured an island feel. It was a sophisticated but daring collection that will work for single ladies or the girl who enjoy getting attention in her bathing suit.

Hair was decent, very beach like, soft, and not too much to it.

Makeup that was created was a glamorous make up look. The models were given a dramatic eye with hues of coral, purple and gold that complimented the core colors in the collection. The model skin was bronzed with highlights. On the eyes was MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Cream #14 to the outer corners of the lids and blended inward. Next MAKE UP FOR EVER Eye Shadow #17 to the crease and then dusted on the outer corners and crease was MAKE UP FOR EVER Star Powder #930 to add a golden brown shimmer. The inner corner of the eyes was then dusted with MAKE UP FOR EVER Star Powder #946 to add a lighter dimension of shimmer. The eyes were lined with MAKE UP FOR EVER Waterproof Liner #1 in black and the lashes were coated with MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Smoky Lash. On the lips MAKE UP FOR EVER Fascinating Lip Gloss #16 was used to great a shimmery nude lip.

AQUA DI LARA at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami

This collection I luved a lot, it was sleek, futuristic, edgy and sexy. Something Lady GaGa would wear while hanging out. Lots of cut-outs on the one piece and great use of colors. AQUA DI LARA thought about this collection and who would wear these swimwear. I really enjoyed the overall effort from hair to makeup and how the models all looked uniformed.

Hair was long, sleek, and polished. The top of the hair was brushed back to show off the face.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Cream #14 to the outer corners of the lids and blended inward. MAKE UP FOR EVER Eye Shadow #17 to the crease and then dusted the outer corners and crease with MAKE UP FOR EVER Star Powder #930 to add a golden brown shimmer. The inner corner of the eyes were then dusted with MAKE UP FOR EVER Star Powder #946 to add a lighter dimension of shimmer. The eyes were lined with MAKE UP FOR EVER Waterproof Liner #1 in black and the lashes were coated with MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Smoky Lash. The skin was bronzed and highlighted with a light shimmery nude lip. MAKE UP FOR EVER Fascinating Lip Gloss #16

Mara Hoffman Swim at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami

What a great collection for the world traveler. I saw tribal, psychedelic prints, geometric shapes and patterns. Mara took her collection on a mystical journey through the jungle, visiting crystal caves, rivers, oceans; a tongue-in-cheek Amazonian tribeswoman in a bikini following her White Horse spirit guide. The flowy tribal dresses were very flirty. Mara used fun bold colors like fuchsia, lime green, and teal topping it off with awesome body accessories.

Hair was loosely pinned up in the front with the back braided in two’s. Nicely done.

Makeup created was a “spacey” tribal make up look with bright accents of fuchsia and turquoise that put the focus on the eyes.

The skin was bronzed and dewy with highlights on the brow bone and high cheek. MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Cream #7 in Fuchsia was applied lightly to the cheeks and blended heavily so only a slight pink flush remained.

To create this tribal chic make up look, MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Cream #4 in white to the entire lid, up to the brow bone, blending it out. The eyes were defined using MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Eyes #0L in black on the bottom lash line only, and then MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Smoky Lash on both the top and bottom. Using a lip brush for added precision, small white dots at the top of the cheek bones starting from the outer corner of the eyes and over the blower bridge of the nose, following the natural shape of the eyes.

On the lips MAKE UP FOR EVER Lipstick #502, a matte nude lipstick was applied to keep the focus on the eyes.

True Religion at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami

What a great All American swimwear collection! The True Religion collection was like 60’s rock-n-roll meets boho hippy chic. Barefoot models skipped down the runway wearing cotton and denim materials. Neutral colors, bronze and metallic prints, cut-off’s fringed leather vest with fun props; surfboards and colored guitars.

Hair was definitely beach inspired, fun, big, tousled, and flirty.

Makeup was sexy enough for the beach. Highlighted faces, gold eye shadow, black eyeliner winged out with strip lashes. Blush on the models was a soft pink with a matte pink lipstick

ED HARDY SWIMWEAR at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami

My buddies Designer Fawn Arthur and Angela Avanesyan definitely gave an upgraded to the new collection for the young girls & guys who love the notoriously tattooed Ed Hardy clothing. Lots of hot bright tropical colors with fun embellishments like zippers, straps, chain link details and custom hardware. Fawn and Angela didn't miss a beat, giving you a sizzling sexy collection that will be seen on the beach this summer and all over the Caribbean. So proud of you girls!!!

Hair was very creative and edgy with the models wearing tight curls topped off with a platinum blonde bang.

Makeup was rocker with black eye shadow top off with a hot red matte lip. The awesome Makeup Artist James Vincent who I am a fan of was the key artist for the Ed Hardy swim show. He created a bold black eye and strong red lip for a glamorous, old Hollywood look. The skin was bronzed and dewy with highlights on the brow bone and high cheek. James applied MAKE UP FOR EVER Eye Shadow #156 up to the brow bone. Creating a thick rim around the top of the eye extending to the liner beyond the outer corner of the lid using MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Black. James then went on to rim the lower lash line as well. He finished by applying two coats of MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Smoky Lash. For a gorgeous pop of red on the lips, James applied MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Cream #8.
