I had mixed feelings about the Dolores Cortes collection. Some pieces looked young with polka dot bikinis and denim swimsuits. Then the few I personaly liked were the one-piece swimwear. Others looked like something a more mature woman would wear. I loved all of the long cover-ups and strong colors like fuchsia and purples. Dolores played with a variety of textures and patterns in this collection.
Hair didn’t have a uniform look. Some hair was styled really nice and others was over tousled and just too wild. Maybe the models didn't have time running from one show to the next.
Makeup on the models was safari-chic, glowing skin was inspired by bohemian references of the 50’s Parisian woman. I love the exotic shimmering greens and gold eye shadow colors. The lightly highlight cheeks was MAKE UP FOR EVER Sculpting Blush #22. The eyes were the focal point of the look. MAKE UP FOR EVER Diamond Shadow #302 in teal to the lid, then applied MAKE UP FOR EVER Diamond Shadow #310 in a shimmering emerald green starting one quarter of the way in from the outer corner of the eye to the outer eye lid and then into the crease and lower brow bone. Next applied MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Cream #11 in gold to the inner corner of the eye lid for a metallic pop. The eyes were lined with MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Eyes #0L in black and the lashes were coated with MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Smoky Lash. Each model had a preference for a matte or glossy nude lip. Lip colors used were MAKE UP FOR EVER Lipstick #502 or MAKE UP FOR EVER Glossy Full Couleur #10 to complete the look.
